Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level extension is the sole TLD planned for personal websites only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At the beginning, solely third-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to buy john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already purchased 3rd-level domain names remained working.

Through our company, you can register your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to alter the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no specific prerequisites on who can purchase a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the goal behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
